MPV Listrik Mewah Denza D9 Resmi Mengaspal di Indonesia

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

BYD Motor Indonesia has officially introduced its new brand, Denza, to the Indonesian market on Wednesday (January 22). The inaugural model being launched is the D9, a boxy seven-seater electric MPV that is poised to challenge the dominance of the Toyota Alphard and the Lexus LM.

The D9 measures 5.25 meters in length, 1.95 meters in width, and stands 1.92 meters tall. These dimensions make it slightly longer and wider than the Alphard.

Inside, the D9 boasts captain’s seats in the second row, complete with leg rests and massage functions for an enhanced passenger experience. Audiophiles will appreciate the Dynaudio Hi-Fi speakers, while a panoramic roof allows passengers to enjoy views of the sky.

This model offers two driving systems: a pure electric vehicle (BEV) and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). However, in Indonesia, only the BEV variant is currently available, equipped with a 103 kWh battery that allows for a range of 600 kilometers.

The electric motor generates an impressive 308 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque.

BYD Motor Indonesia has priced the Denza D9 at Rp950 million OTR Jakarta, significantly lower than its competitors—the Alphard, priced at Rp1.425 billion, the Vellfire around Rp1.8 billion, and the LM starting at Rp2.17 billion.

It’s important to note that the Alphard, Vellfire, and LM models are all hybrid vehicles.
