Raffi Ahmad, the Special Envoy of the President for Youth and Arts, has confirmed that the black vehicle with the license plate RI 36, which was escorted by a police convoy, is indeed his. However, he was not inside the car at the time of the incident.
This incident has sparked curiosity among many regarding the identity of the luxurious vehicle bearing the RI 36 plate. Not only does it have a special plate, but the car also exudes a sense of elegance and high value!
Upon closer inspection, it appears that the car with the RI 36 plate is a Lexus LX 600. This sport utility vehicle (SUV) is the successor to the now-discontinued LX 570 in Indonesia.

The Lexus LX 600 owned by Raffi Ahmad is a VIP variant, valued at approximately IDR 3 billion. This vehicle is frequently seen being used by officials in Indonesia.
According to the official Lexus website, as of Saturday (January 11), the LX 600 can accommodate four passengers. Its dimensions are impressive, measuring 5,100 mm in length, 1,895 mm in height, 1,990 mm in width, and it has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.
The vehicle is powered by a V35A-FTS engine with a displacement of 3,445cc, featuring six cylinders and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. This powerful configuration allows the car to produce 409 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, paired with an Automatic Direct Shift-10 transmission.
Safety is a priority in the LX 600, which comes equipped with standard safety features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Distribution, parking sensors, Rearview Camera, Uphill & Downhill Assist Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Vehicle Stability Control System, and many more.
It’s important to note that Raffi Ahmad previously stated that the black car with the RI 36 plate, which has become a topic of discussion due to its aggressive police escort, belongs to him. However, he emphasized that he was not in the vehicle during the incident.
“It is true that the vehicle is mine, but at the time of the incident, I was not inside as the RI 36 plate vehicle was in the process of picking me up for my next meeting,” Raffi Ahmad shared in a statement received by reporters on Saturday (January 11, 2025).
