Suara.com – DPP PDI Perjuangan has finally spoken out regarding the designation of their Secretary-General, Hasto Kristiyanto, as a suspect in the Harun Masiku case.
For the PDIP, Hasto’s indictment serves as confirmation of remarks made by the party’s Chairperson, Megawati Soekarnoputri, suggesting that there are elements attempting to disrupt the party ahead of next year’s Congress.
“This incident validates what our Chairperson stated on December 12, that there are indeed attempts to meddle with the party in light of the upcoming Congress. So, this is essentially a reaffirmation,” said Komarudin Watubun, Chair of the DPP PDIP’s Honorary Board, during a press conference held at the PDIP DPP office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday night (December 24, 2024).
He added that all party members feel justified in their belief that there are indeed parties trying to disrupt the organization from within.
